Wood Blinds are still a popular window treatment. Wood or Faux wood blinds have replaced the metal mini-blind as a functional window treatment.

There are three types of material used, Wood, Composite and Faux. Wood is generally made from basswood and comes in various colors and stains. Composite is a wood fiber/resin product. Faux wood is a polymer or plastic product.

Be aware that there is a wide range in quality of wood and fauxwood blinds. There are literally hundreds of wood and faux wood blind manufacturers. Some fabricate a great product. Some are poor quality or even fabricated in China and cut down to your window size. All our wood and faux wood blinds are made in the USA, to our high specifications. Our wood and faux blinds are made from ALL metal components in the headrail system. Plastics get brittle in the heat here. Ask our competitors about their headrail components, including the tilt mechanism and the barrels. You want steel, and if they are plastic, don’t allow them to install them.
